From our Founder
When I started holding events bringing together artists, one question repeated in my skull: Why aren’t these artists as big as Kendrick?
There’s no doubt at least a few of the people in my circle had the talent to grace stadiums, so why were they stuck?
The answer was obvious, Kendrick has connected with his audience, these artists hadn’t.
So, I set out on a mission to fulfill a vision from years earlier, a connected global economy on-chain.
cXc Music is born
Born from a vision I had at age 16, cXc was created to connect people.
My part: A map.
Our vision is a world where creatives are seen (and heard) by their local area first.
Your local area serves as a proving ground, where organic engagement (and crypto boosts) raise the crème to the top, and a national competition awaits the local winners.
Why?
Without a competition around discovery, we’re fed whatever the traditional channels want to give us.
Algorithms, playlists, and influencers have control of our consciousness for a simple reason. They can influence what music we’re exposed to.
What we need isn’t more music, it’s less music, closer to home.
That gives us a connection with the tunes that might resonate with us more.
But where does that fit into a larger vision?
Blinders: By shutting out the noise, we can focus and make an impact on JUST the artists in one area.
Why limit choice
We trust you to know what music is good. Especially in your own area. When you have the power to recommend music to friends in a way that helps you AND the artist, everyone wins. You get a new, meaningful + valuable connection with a local artist that will certainly spill into IRL, the artist gains a fan, and the local music scene becomes more connected.
Do we really want to listen to Joe down the street and Kevin from high school?
We say YES, at least enough to know if we want to listen to them again.
Who knows, they could have done Ayahuasca and gone through a transformation into your new favorite artist.
